We will assess you in a number of ways:
Assignments:
Students are expected to write a number of short assignments for each of the sections within the award. The assignments will include theory and relate to real workplace or teaching situations to make relevant points. You can adapt this to your work area or industry for ease.
The assignments will help you to gain knowledge, explore and apply the full teaching and learning cycle.
Your tutor will provide feedback and give the opportunity to resubmit assignments if additional work is needed.
Micro Teaching:
The final assessment will be done in the classroom. You will deliver 2 short 10-15 minute micro teach of your choice, which your tutor will mark you on.
The micro teaching should demonstrate the content you have studied in the units of the award, including:
An introduction, aims and outcomes, icebreaker and health and safety
Deliver an inclusive lesson using a range of resources and methods
Assessment of the student and summary of the lesson
Learners will be expected to provide a range of written material to support their lesson, including:
Scheme of work
Lesson plan
Learner evaluation
Self-evaluation of their performance
You have 4 months from the date you enrol onto the course to complete it. Although you can complete this as quick as you like. Our students often complete this in around 6 weeks.
During this time, you’ll also have 24/7 access to your online portal which has all the resources you need to help you with your assignments etc. Here, you can view your course content and upload assignments too.
